Here I have for sale my 2.8 VR6 Jetta. It’s a 1991 J reg with 103,200 miles on the clock (160ish on the shell). Sunroof model (doesnt leak). MOT until 29th August. Full Mk3 conversion inc 02a box, subframe, beam, clocks, hubs etc. Had a full rebuild including a new head, new timing chains etc by the previous owner a few years ago. Genuine 16” compomotive TH 16x8 5x100. The car has a 6 branch manifold and jetex exhaust. It has the full gti big bumper conversion, gti interior, alcantara steering wheel and headlining. The VR6 clocks work as they should and so does the central locking. 

 The car has only done 200 miles since its last MOT as I have been upgrading and replacing a lot of parts. I have owned the car since June but I’ve not had the time to work on it as much as I’d like. I no longer have a company car so have bought a daily (E39 530d) so funds are needed towards that.

Bad bits

Bodywork lets it down, it has a couple of previous paint repairs and does have some rust spots. The wheels could do with a refurb as the gold paint is cracking. I was planning to do a full respray next, or would make a great candidate for a track car. Is a previous cat c. It does sometimes pop out of 4th gear (02j shifter etc included). The bonnet cable needs re-attaching (opening through grill currently).

The car has huge potential, or is ready to be driven and enjoyed as is. It is an absolute blast to drive and sounds incredible. Gets looks everywhere it goes and puts a lot of newer cars to shame. A lot of time and money has gone into this car.
