"Harry Rosenthal has received numerous prizes and important acknos for his artistic work. He received the "Primo premio per la scultura San Pellegrino Terme" in 1977. Inspired by a strong religious sentiment, Harry Rosenthal created the Pastoral Staff in silver, which His Holiness Pope John Paul the Second donated to the Sanctuary of the Madonna at Cestokowa in 1983. He was awarded the Lorenzo il Magnifico international prize for figurative art in 1989. Harry Rosenthal created a bronze medal (a limited edition of 500 copies destined to the heads of state of all the countries in the world) to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the foundation of the United Nations in 1995. This medal was commissioned by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali, for whom he made a bronze portrait in 1997. Harry Rosenthal presented in 1998 His Holiness Pope John Paul the Second with a Pastoral Staff in silver and glass in view of the Jubilee year 2000.
