JINASHI - natural bore- Rootend Shakuhachi Bamboo Bass Flute crafted by me. Pictured with a standard 1.8 length (21 1/2”) for comparison. This auction is for one flute, the 2.9 (34”)

Made from rootend Chinese Madake Bamboo that was specially harvested for me and aged over 20 years. It is made for Watazumi style Honkyoku or open meditative solo playing. The tuning is based on traditional Japan 2.9 length tuning in F# with A = 440hz. This flute is warm, deep, flexible, dynamic and friendly for any average player. It moves across octaves with relative ease and accuracy going from a deep velvety whisper to a vibratory scream. The bamboo was not the Grade A level for higher commercial pricing due to a moved thumb hole and fingerholes being close to the nodes. However, this is still a wonderful instrument with true wabi sabi beauty and priced less than the average market price for equally great instrument by a reputable maker.

Comes with the full care kit (color of bag may be different according to what I have in stock) and 100% technical support should the instrument ever need servicing. This means domestic shipping to me as opposed to Japan where shipping costs, insurance and tax will cost more than a repair.

As with all my instruments, this one comes with an audition period and full refund or exchange if it’s not a good fit. If you asks questions to see if it’s the right flute for you and it does not fit for any reason. You will even have your shipping costs refunded. I stand my all my instruments.
