Roman Iosifovich Shukhevych (Ukrainian Roman Osipovich Shukhevych; June 30, 1907, Krakovets, Austria-Hungary - March 5, 1950, outskirts of Lvov) - Ukrainian political and military leader, member of the OUN, then OUN (b), after 1943 the leader of the latter, with  January 1944 until his death in 1950, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (OUN-UPA).  Involved in the massacres of Poles and Jews during the activities of the UPA in western Ukraine
