Bone china chocolate cup and saucer made in England by Copeland’s China in the late 19th century. It was produced especially for the renowned retailer Davis & Collamore of New York. The saucer measures 5 1/8 inches in diameter and is 7/8 inches high.  The cup is 3 1/2 inches high (without the handle) and 2 7/8 inches in diameter.  The cup has an empire style handle that sweeps over the rim of the cup and a pedestal base.  the saucer is quite deep.  Wide gold bands contain large, hand painted cabbage roses in brilliant pinks and green.  The decoration is accented with beaded gilding.  There are roses inside the rim of the cup.  The looped handle with bird’s head inside, is richly gilded.  #E627
