COLLECTION LIQUIDATION --

I am helping a magic friend sell most of his collection, (and I already had a ton of magic I was trying to get listed!) so I am putting his Collection items in this separate eBay store category, and I will probably not be saying too much about the items.  I will give a few good photos, and I will give a quick assessment of the item.

If you know your magic, you will recognize many items and know they are a great deal here. Or if you don't know the item, you may have to do a bit of online research to find out about it.  Or you can just trust my honest (though quick) assessment of any item -- I always endeavor to tell you the good and the bad of anything I sell.

Message me if you are seriously considering buying something , and want a bit more info on it.  Happy to help.

And keep checking the "COLLECTION LIQUIDATION" category of my ebay store, as I will be adding more items all the time!

One of Tenyo's first big hits, and still one of their most practical effects for a working performer who needs to vanish a silk in a baffling way.  The T- number on this effect is #22, so you know it is one of the first items in the Tenyo line.   It came out in the very late 1960s, and was continued in the line until about 15 years ago.

A silk is placed in a clear plastic "capsule" (which looks like a pill vial), and the capsuled silk is wrapped in a piece of paper, the ends twisted shut.   When the spectator opens the paper, the capsule inside is empty.

A really effective and easy method to vanish a silk, invented by Lou Tannen, who licensed it to Tenyo.   This example is one of the later versions from the early 2000's (see below for history of the Time Capsule packaging).

This effect is now getting very difficult to find, so if you do not have one in your collection, here's your chance!

EDUCATIONAL NOTE:  "A Brief History of Time...Capsule"   --   the last two photos show the four different styles of package box that Tine Capsule has been issued in over the decades.  You can see the oldest version from the late1960's/early 1970's which required an added "Made in Japan" sticker to be applied.  Then the words "Made in Japan" were printed on the second iteration of the box, in the 1970's.   The third version of the box (1980's) added the full Tenyo Company name, and also simplified the effect description.   Finally in the late 1990's, Tenyo totally revamped the box, changing the back text to a graphic representation of the effect, to accommodate their expanding international, multi-lingual market.  The instruction sheet was also updated , printed on a glossy thicker paper than the early instruction sheets.  (see last photo)     This 4th version of the package was used until the mid-2000's when production of the item ended.   SO IF YOU ARE BUYING A TIME CAPSULE, and the seller is claiming it is from the 1970s or "rare", "vintage", etc, be aware of the differences in packaging and instruction sheets.   Make sure you do not pay a collectible price premium for your Time Capsule unless it actually is one of the earlier ones!

IMPORTANT NOTE:  the last two photos, showing the different boxes and instruction sheets are for educational purposes only -- they are NOT INCLUDED with your purchase.  You will get the ONE Time Capsule shown in the first three photos.

This listing is for a late issue, 4th box style, Time Capsule.   Still hard to find, but not as hard as some of the other issues, which sell for $40-$60.   I see listings for this same issue at those kind of prices, but I will price it where it should be priced, with a discount for the corner damage on the package.

Please read Condition Notes below.

CONDITION NOTES:  previously owned, but in very good condition. Original props  and instruction sheet are in excellent condition.  Package box has some corner damage -- see photo #3.
