This miniature medal celebrates aerial achievement. It is a genuine collectible for militaria enthusiasts who appreciate original items. In the center of a bronze disc is an eagle facing to the right with wings extended.
The tips of the eagle's wings extend beyond the edge bringing the medal to an overall width of 7/8" inches. The medal with its yellow and blue ribbon measures 2 1/4" x 7/8". The other side has a blank plaque to add the name of personnel receiving the medal.
This medal is presented to members of US military or civilian personnel who distinguished themselves by sustained meritious achievement while engaging in aerial flight during service in USAF.
