You are bidding on a high-quality modern reprint of the Army Air Forces Training Command manual "Students' Manual Advanced 2-Engine Flying", 1944, 100p. This manual was designed to get naïve recruits into the air safely as quickly as possible. Topics include control surfaces, wind drift, torque effect, introduction to stalls, takeoff, landing, spins, flaps, forced landings and much more. Manual is in color. It was not printed in halftone but using a limited palette of maybe 4 colors.

N.B. - no attempt has been made to make this reprint look and feel exactly like the 40's original. I have no way to duplicate the military printing office binding or cover. Instead, I print all pages on 24-lb paper from a 400lpi scan of the color original. For covers, I print the image of the original cover onto card stock then cover front and back with protective 10-mm clear acetate. Manual is bound using comb-binding, which allows the manual to lie flat when opened. Every page has been hand-edited in Photoshop to take out blemishes and age-related damage (stains, marks).

I also offer the 1959 Cold-War era edition of the primary flight manual for single-engine aircraft. Please check this auction here:
