This auction is for one MTA Boston PCC Streetcar Trolley #3288 1962 35mm Original Kodachrome Slide
Subject: MTA Boston PCC Streetcar Trolley #3288
Location: Boston, MA (North Station - Lechmere Line)
Date: August 1962

This is slide EBC621 in our internal filing system.

Boston's first PCC car arrived in 1937, and the rest were built between then and 1951.  A few are still in use today on the Ashmont-Mattapan line.

3288 was part of Boston's final PCC order in 1951 and is nicknamed a "Picture Window" car as it had forced air ventilation.  You could not open the windows.  It and nearly all of Boston's PCCs were built by Pullman.

This slide is being sold as-is, in the condition as shown in our listing photographs. It does not include any copyright.

The proceeds from this auction will help fund the Trolley Dodger blog (www.thetrolleydodger.com), including research for our next transit history book.
