People often say to me that people 'back then' didn’t live as long as we do now. True, but there were many who did live into their 70s, 80s, and even 90s. The age statistics are brought down by the infant mortality of the times. 150 years combined may seem exaggerated to some of you, but I believe it to be accurate.

The younger woman supports the older, with one hand on her back and the other on her arm. The older woman holds a small book. Note the detail in their faces and hands. They both exude character. They have seen a lot and have plenty of stories to tell.

CONDITION. Modern seals (not by us). Heavy tarnish. White spots.

APPEARANCE. Very good contrast. Affectionate posing. These women display strength, sweetness, and wisdom. A beautiful portrait.
