CONSIGNMART

Check out this latest consignment we accepted. This antique full size violin dating likely to the early 1900s is a mystery maker as it is unlabelled. I surmise based on the beautiful birdseye maple back it is likely American made. Beautiful carved top. Sharp purfling bee stingers on the corners. Length of back is 14-1/8". Matching well fitted tuners. Missing the nut. The ebony fingerboard is loose. There's only one insignificant wing crack at the right "F" hole. Some rib separation at the lower bouts. The closeup photos leave little to the imagination. Use your smart phone if you want to zoom in for extreme closeups. No case or bow.  Will have many more old violins and bows from our consignor being listed for the next several months!
