Auction for a Triple Extension wooden 1/2 plate camera... ground glass measures 4¾ × 6½" making this a half plate camera.
The camera does not have any branding but is very well made, lightweight with good brass fittings.
The bellows are a little worn, dark crimson in colour, they appear light tight and not brittle and fold/unfold fine. They are quite dusty, as is the rest of the camera.
Bright image on ground glass using the Beck Symmetrical lens. Although these lenses are common and cheap i have actually shot with them on 5x4" and they are surprisingly sharp! Aperture fine.
Camera focuses fine, moves along the rails fine.  It is obviously an old antique camera so has some obvious signs of use.. Please study photos.
Shutter doesn't work. I think a curtain has come off the rails.
Three plate holders included but one does not fit camera but is included anyhow.
There is also a set of wooden tripod legs which also do not quite fit the camera but are including them in sale as they could, if winning bidder decided, cold possibly be fixed to fit camera.
Finally, I will remove the ground glass from the camera and slip it into a plate holder.  This way there is less chance of any breakages.
So do not be alarmed when camera is received if there's no ground glass, it will be safely tucked away in one of the plate holders.

Please no offers on this or any of my auctions. I write this with every auction I list yet it seems every single day I get messages asking me 'what's my best price?', 'Would you accept so much?'... etc etc...
