Was working perfectly - Last used on a shoot in January.

Unfortunately the IRIS button isn't working properly.

This is the button that manually selects the aperture and navigates the menu.

You can scroll down and press ‘set’ but you can’t scroll up.

In Auto and Shutter Priority the iris is controlled by the camera so it's not an issue in those modes.

You can alter the iris in Shutter Priority mode by changing the shutter speed (different button). The camera adjusts the iris and if you switch back to Manual mode the iris setting stays.

This isn’t really practical so it would be better to just use the camera in Auto with the exposure compensation dial.

I opened it up, cleaned the switch and checked the contacts but it's not helped.

The lens is in great condition - no marks to the front or rear elements

The grey plastic coating has gone a bit soft - I cleaned off the worst parts with acetone, see pictures.

I'm having a clearout of my old DV equipment because it's getting a bit silly

The recording and play back functions absolutely fine, it’s just that one button unfortunately.

This particular MiniDV camera seems a bit sharper than my others, I guess it's the lens.

Also there is a SDI out which is useful.

No charger and only one battery included - I'm keeping the charger and batteries for another camera.

For a repalcement charger you need a Canon CA-920
