A really beautiful pair of handmade genuine vintage JONELLE Medway curtains - 100% cotton and Lined in 100% cotton.
Dry cleaned before being stored

These are from the 1970's and for their age the fabric is in wonderful condition with no fading.
They are similar to William Morris Golden Lilly but this print is much rarer and just as striking. Fabulous contempory colours.
Photos are good by eye and the colourways are very close to some Farrow and Ball shades,
Specifically - the background green is close to Beverley and Sudbury Yellow and Farrows cream are also close to the pattern. The darkest orangy yellows are close to pantone shades 154c (dark) an 153c (lighter)

These were hand made and not tailor made and. The lining doesnt reach the hem of the fabric (35cm short) and has as few holes - see pics. The fabric itself has horizontal and vertical joins. The pattern obsures the joins unless looking closely. I have included a photo to show from the facing side where the joins meet.
I have two sets of these, that together covered a large bay window. The other set is is slightly better condition.

This pair has a section that has a number of holes  - please see last photo. If you dont need the full length these would need to be taken up about 30cm to lose this section. There are the odd small tears to the underside of the fabric but again none are very noticeable due to the patterning.

The above issues dont detract from these being very special curtains. This is rare item and very unusual to find - especially in this colourway. At time of listing no others on Ebay and rarer still to get this length.
If both pairs are wanted i can combine postage costs.

The dimensions above are for EACH curtain in the pair, un-gathered. Below are the measurements in inches and in centimetres.
When fully pleated they are about half the un pleated with but this is adjustable using the strings in the header tape.

Width: 57 inches (144cm) each panel
Drop : 109 inches (277cm)

I try to measure accurately but sometimes room for minor error so let me know if more precision needed.

Postage costs includes insurance for the full amount to cover for any loss or damage in transit. The insurance costs are often greater than the actual postage costs. Collection in person is always welcome.

If these aren't quite what you are looking for, please see my other listings.
Welcome to view if local.
Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Buying second hand or vintage curtains means that there may be some small/superficial marks but once hung no one will notice. If I find anything major I will point it out in the listing and provide one or more pictures of the 'issues'.
