For auction are three lovely vintage  pin cushion half dolls, each   made in Germany by quality porcelain manufacturers Fasold and Stauch, probably in the 1920s.

The first is modelled as a lady in what is probably peasant costume, with a pink shawl and blue headscarf. She measures 8.2 cms and is incised 14767. A similar doll in a  different colour  can be seen on page 22 of Vol 4 of the Lorrins' Half Doll books, as figure 4-81.

The middle doll is dressed in period costume, probably regency, a low cut bodice with rather fancy sleeves and a plumed bonnet. She is just over 9 cm tall and is marked Foreign and 13707.

The last is modelled  as a pretty young lady in Corsican regional dress. This charming doll  stands at around 8  cm  tall and is very well detailed and modelled, with a pretty face, a blue headscarf, and a blue fringed polka dot shawl. She has the number 16788 incised on her back base and 'foreign' on  the front. A similar doll in a  different colour  can be seen on page 18 of Vol 4 of the Lorrins' Half Doll books, as figure 4-51.

All are  in very good condition with no chip, cracks or flaws  that  I can see.
