Hard to find keeper for a Russell & Erwin rim locks, most of which are featured in their 1870 catalog with fancy cornered patterns like the this one. This is another rim lock we always had in stock without the correct keeper, so we had some cast that would match the body of the rim locks that needed them. Can't recall if this was made by Parker Whipple or by Sargent? The keeper measures 4 1/2" and is a nice fit for the original model that was made in the late 1800's or early 1900's. Screw holes are on 3 1/2" centers.
