Extremely collectible and rare with only 642 of this grade ever made.  The Riverside Maximus is one of Walthams most decorated timepieces.  This movement contains 4 diamond end stones, solid gold gear train, and stunning demaskeen.  This movement was just serviced, new mainspring installed, and is in excellent running condition.  Original Maximus dial is in excellent condition with a few minor flaws to the glazing but no chips or hairlines.  Deep blue spade hands are also in good condition. The case is a gold filled Crescent with snap front and back covers that function beautifully.  The hinges are both good looking and operate tightly while allowing the covers to open to to a near perfect 90 degrees on both sides.  Case features a tight bow, good crown and a new glass crystal. There are some areas of gold loss around the body, mainly at the bottom of the case and at the pendant area.  Beautiful nickel movement shows very well.  Some very minor, oxide spotting on the winding wheel.  I take great pride in my refurbishing projects and leave no detail overlooked, this is an exceptional timepiece.  If you’ve made it this far, thank you for your consideration and visit to this listing.
