Challenge for Men Magazine Vol. 5 #7 1959 Audie Murphy-The GI They Couldn't Kill!  The Hollywood movie “To Hell and Back” was based on Murphy's remarkable, heroic and courageous exploits during World War IIl  Despite his short stature and soft-spoken character, Audie Murphy was on of the most highly decorated soldiers in American history.  The magazine is in acceptable condition.  It comes from a smoke-free home.  The binding appears to be in good shape, & the pages turn freely.  The first page, typically a summary of the contents & subsequent page numbers is missing.  However, the entire article on Audie Murphy is in tact and is printed on pages 12, 13, 14, 15, & 78.  The article includes black & white photos.  The Article by Paul Ditzel features quotes by Audie Murphy, A Medal of Honor winner.  There's a photo of him as he is bestowed with the Legion d'Honneur & Croix de Guerre awards by the French.  There's also a photo of Murphy with his wife Pamela & son Mike, around the time he became a Hollywood star after the war.  The magazine is missing one addition page, 27/28, which had photos like those on pages 26 and 29 (black & white pin-ups).  Magazine does show signs of wear, but there are no other missing, torn or dog-eared pages.  No writing or marks from pen or markers.  A great piece of history to have and to hold! * I OFFER COMBINED SHIPPING TO ALL OF MY U.S. BASED CUSTOMES WHO PURCHASE TWO OR MORE ITEMS SIMULTANEOUSLY!
