A reliable laptop with a 15.6-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 1366 x 768. The display is fairly bright; so I usually operate it at 75% brightness. The laptop weighs 5 pounds 9 ounces. You can tell from the smudges on the screen that the touchscreen works -- it is a very useful feature. The low resolution makes things appear bigger, so it would be good for someone with poor eyesight.
Two storage devices: a well-respected 500 GB Samsung EVO 870 SSD plus a 223 GB spinning hard drive for extra storage (which I installed where the optical drive used to be). Two photos from CrystalDiskInfo show that the Samsung EVO is at 99% Health, and the spinning hard drive is at 98% Health. Lots of life left in them, and the high-performance Samsung EVO boot drive adds a nice speed boost.
I upgraded the memory capacity to 8 GB.
