 D-28

The D-28 is an unmistakable representative model of Martin, the world's top guitar brand established in 1833. The dreadnought, which represents the body size, is said to have been named after a battleship that was active in England at that time, and the presence and supreme sound of the large, thick body befitting the name had a great influence on various acoustic guitars that appeared thereafter.

The top is made of spruce, and the sides and back are made of rosewood. The sound is characterized by a well-balanced combination of powerful bass notes that resonate through the entire body and are felt even by the player himself, and elegant, sparkling high notes called “Suzu-nari,” which give the player a pleasant, expansive feeling. Its overwhelming looks and supreme sound are the reason why it is called the eternal standard. Although there have been some minor specification changes and changes in the origin of the wood, this model has continued to be produced as one of Martin's steadfast masterpieces without ever stopping production.

This model is a pre-2017 model. The pickguard is beautifully painted in black, the clear-finish paint is applied to preserve the original color of the wood, the closed-gear pegs, and the 42.9mm nut is easy to grip for those with small hands or those who are just starting out on a new instrument. The low profile of the shape is adopted, and it has become a specification with outstanding playability.

Condition.

The neck is straight, with about 2.6mm on the 6th string side and 2mm on the 1st string side above the 12th fret, and about 3.5mm on the 6th string side and 3mm on the 1st string side remaining in the saddle, which is close to the value when shipped from Martin, so you can enjoy the powerful sound and low sound of a dreadnought. Even if you want to lower the string height, there is still plenty of room to adjust the string height by shaving the saddle.

If you look closely in the light, you can see some small dents and chips on the head, but they do not affect the sound or playability. Although the guitar has some signs of use, it has been moderately tinted with color due to its age, giving it an austere finish.

The Ebony fretboard and bridge are also made of Ebony, which is darker and more beautiful than the Ebony used in recent years, giving the instrument a luxurious yet tighter look.

The sound has the powerful dreadnought sound, of course, but it also gives the impression of a bright and clear sound. The sound is crisp and dry, with excellent sound through and through, and is one that will give you a very refreshing feeling.

Please take advantage of this opportunity.
