NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING with U.S based overseas companies too many issue's with them if you purchase an item and use these types of companies your sale will be cancelled and refunded. I do not ship overseas through Quigley Blvd New Castle DE it is not a registered company. This was found at an estate sale in Illinois in the late 1990s. Thank you Gil for saving me that chaotic day and rescuing all the vintage clothing you saved as well as me. I will always thank Gil for every piece I list. Please note: bustle evening dress is in poor condition. The outer white silk fabric on the bustle skirt, front and back has separated. Underlined white cotton still strong. Bottom of skirt has thick silk fabric ruffles, large bustle, see sideways photo. Back center upper skirt at waistband is heavily ruched, the ruching adds strength to the fabric this also allows a good fit over a bustle cage. The sleeves of the bodice are in the same condition. This is an AS-IS sale. I am downsizing. I had planned to frame this in a large glass box to hang in the hallway to preserve it. This would be great for a display piece. Too precious to toss out. White Silk with tan lining. Bodice is trimmed with dark Gold silk ribbon. Dates to the late 1880s period. Bustle back to the skirt with hook and eye closure. Front skirt, at one time, had the silk fabric draped into large puffed area's. What makes this beauty so charming is that this is a young teens party dress, evening in coming out ensemble. Teens Era pieces are extremely hard to find because most were passed down to the next youngest child in the family. This must have been a special gown since it was packed away in a box with other evening and special occasion dresses. This is a very tiny, tiny bodice and skirt. Teens also wore Corsets beginning about the time they could be introduced to a gentleman at Soirees, weddings, coming of age occasions, or, a church dance or social. Too small to wear. Bodice is tightly gathered and fitted with long sleeves adorned with cotton lace trims, and lace Revers over the shoulders. Bodice is heavily boned. Hook and eye closure. No Petersham or maker. Lace cuffs at ends of sleeves. Sleeves lined in white cotton sateen fabric. Lace and outer silk show deterioration from not being stored well at the original estate where it came from. Dark Gold silk ribbon trims both front and back of bodice has a high round tight neckline. Bust 30, waist 20, shoulders 11, length 16, sleeves 18 with lace added in. Skirt measures waist 20, total length 39. As is garment. Hopefully another care taker will preserve this ensemble and frame it. All sales final. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. Thank you.
