1979 Triumph Spitfire 1500 O/D 79K

Purchased the Spitfire just before lockdown started. Thankfully was able to pick up where previous owner had left off so a lot of remedial/ replacement work was carried out. Have a record of the previous work, bills, receipts and MOT’s as well as to what I have done. Quite a comprehensive list as to what has been replaced.

Car is, 1979, 1500 cc, with overdrive, working, currently on SORN, Tax and MOT exempt, and on axle stands with two covers. Chassis is rust free. Bodywork is relatively good, but with some minor blemishes and marks commensurate with age/ some staining and bits where paint has cracked etc. Hard Top has some appearance of orange peel, but not immediately visible. Tyres are all new. Exhaust has a small blow on the rear box. New wide aluminium radiator fitted, carbs balanced, new slave cylinder for the clutch. Only been driven on the road for 5 miles to and from garage for engine service. The car needs tidying up interior wise. Dashboard, wipers, heater, seat, electrical bits. (all boxed and available).

I have a load of manuals, + USB, and photographic record of the whole car since I’ve had it. I have quite a few spares, new soft top, new carpets, new battery. Car starts, runs and drives but currently on SORN. Been on axle stands over the winter period. Tyres are all new, exhaust is rusty and has a blow from the rear box. New carpets, not fitted and a new soft top, frame good, unfitted. Boxes of spares/ manuals etc.

Car came with MX5 seats (a popular upgrade) but these have been sold, and originals are now with the car.  Drivers side only loosely fitted at the moment, as dash-board wiring/ heater and windscreen wiper mechanism needs replacing. So everything there, just waiting for finishing. Previous owner had lot of work done so have receipts etc.

Since purchasing the car we have moved house, and that has come with horrendous problems that we have discovered after the move (still ongoing). I have also had a hip and knee replacement so my mobility is not what it should be and therefore there is a big problem for me getting in and out of the car. I am not able to enjoy it as I would have liked and work has virtually come to a halt. It needs some finishing and TLC.  Sold as seen, no returns. Sorry, no warranty given or implied due to age of car. Will need to be trailered or towed as Sorned.

Any questions please ask.
