This auction is for the complete eight-issue Spawn: Godslayer limited series from Image Comics.  Published starting in May of 2007 through April of 2008, this re-imagining of Todd McFarlane’s wildly popular Spawn series is written by Brian Holguin, with interior art from Philip Tan and covers from Jay Anacleto.  All issues come bagged and boarded and are in VF condition or better.  

Taking place in a medieval, epic fantasy setting known as Ur, a mysterious warrior with a dark blade is waging war against the gods, killing them one by one.  This warrior was one the prince named Bairn, who while wounded and drowning following a naval battle, says he would give anything to see his love again.  A mysterious, eldritch entity answers his dying plea, and in exchange for saving Bairn, the entity makes him his undead servant and orders him to kill the gods of Ur.  Sadly, thinking Bairn is dead, his love Neva devotes herself to the temple of the Goddess Llyra, eventually becoming her vessel and leading to an inevitable reunion between the former lovers.
