For sale is the very scarce vintage cassette of PAUL McCARTNEY - McCARTNEY (commonly known as "McCartney I") on Apple Records (1970).

This rare example is the UK 2nd Issue cassette. As per discogs it dates from 1973. The 2nd Issue cassette itself has the same lemon green paper labels of the July 1970 1st Issue with identical typesetting including the misprint (which omits the song "Junk" on the Side Two label). In late 1972 EMI adopted the metallic printed "Gold Top" inlay design as standard and these early press cassettes were shipped out of the Hayes factory with the new inlay pattern around this date. Later versions of the issue have white paper labels. This copy has a black "dp" stamped tape shell.

Includes: MAYBE I'M AMAZED, JUNK, EVERY NIGHT etc.

Condition: The seemingly original notched Norelco case is graded VG+ with light wear. The inlay is Good (G) with medium wear. The cassette is Good (G) with bubbling to the paper labels. This tape has been thoroughly tested throughout and plays well.

Please note: Cassettes of this age are extremely fragile. For this reason this tape is sold as a collectable item only and without guarantee.
