For sale is this extremely scarce vintage cassette of JOHN LENNON & YOKO ONO - SOME TIME IN NEW YORK CITY on Apple Records (1972).

This lovely example is a rare UK 1st Issue cassette of this album. It has a classic "Gold Top" inlay with 7211 G&L print code which denotes manufacture by Garrod & Lofthouse and a date of November 1972. It has a grey tape shell with lemon paper labels. The cassette encompasses Disc One only of the original vinyl release. The second disc with Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention was issued separately under the title LIVE JAM to keep down the cost to the customer. As you will know this album was critically reviled at the time of release and sold very poorly. It was seemingly never reissued in the UK on cassette and is very scarce.

**At the time of listing this is the only example of this scarce cassette I can find for sale on eBay worldwide or indeed anywhere on the internet.**

Condition: The case is graded VG. It has light wear only though there is a small crack on the spine (pictured). I decided against swapping it out as it is in all likelihood the original case. The inlay is VG with wear. The cassette is VG+, close to excellent with light signs of handling. The paper labels are in great shape with very minor rippling only. This cassette has been carefully tested throughout and plays well.

Please Note: Cassettes of this age are extremely fragile. For this reason this tape is sold as a collector’s item only and without guarantee.
