This item in my EBAY store is a DUGAN MARIGOLD CARNIVAL GLASS "GARDEN PATH" "ROSE BOWL". This Dugan marigold carnival glass "GARDEN PATH" "rose bowl" is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom piece of glass that is just the way this "rose bowl" left the Dugan Glass Company many years ago, this "GARDEN PATH" "rose bowl" is in excellent condition having NO chips, cracks, scratches, and NO glass staining; I may also add that this DUGAN MARIGOLD CARNIVAL GLASS "GARDEN PATH" "ROSE BOWL" is an early DUGAN vintage antique carnival glass "GARDEN PATH" "rose bowl" that has been used and displayed over many years and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition; Surely the couple of people who have once owned this American beauty surely cherrished this piece of DUGAN antique glass according to the condition this DUGAN "GARDEN PATH" "rose bowl" remains in today; On the back of this "rose bowl" is a pattern called "SODA GOLD" a "WEBBING" as the secondary pattern along with being stippled causing this "rose bowl" to shine, it did not matter what angle or position I photographed this "GARDEN PATH" "rose bowl" the beautiful COLOR and iridescence can be seen in the numerous photos taken, the marigold iridescence is surely at Dugans best, very dark MARIGOLD COLOR here on the inside and also on the outside of this "GARDEN PATH" "rose bowl"; This "GARDEN PATH" "rose bowl" that I have here does have the early carnival glass era characteristics of the early carnival glass production process having straw marks, stress marks, and air bubbles sometimes seen inside the glass of early carnival glass, these characteristics are from the production of this beautiful "GARDEN PATH" "rose bowl" and is NOT considered damage; Rose bowls are a true novelty item to have in ones collection, also, "rose bowls" are made in various sizes, this particular "rose bowl" that I have here is a "giant" size "rose bowl", a size the same size as the "stag & holly" giant "rose bowl"; This much sought after DUGAN pattern can be seen and talked about in one of my many reference materials, one is a hard back book by "Edwards & Carwile", a book on carnival glass, the "STANDARD ENCYCLOPEDIA of CARNIVAL GLASS 7th EDITION" on page #163; Numerous (all) photos were taken outside in natural daylight in different backgrounds in numerous angles & positions to show pattern, COLOR, condition, carnival glass iridescence & size hoping to answer any and all questions but if need be you can E-mail me or you can see me on my NEW web site at terrymackeyantiques.com.
