Trumpeter 00945 PzKpfw VI Ausf E SdKfz 181 Tiger I Late Production 1/16 Scale Kit

WWII German heavy tank which needs no introduction. The Sonderkraftfahrzeug 181 Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausführung E, otherwise known as Tiger, saw combat on all German battlefronts during the course of the war. It was usually deployed in independent tank battalions, which proved to be quite formidable. While the Tiger I was feared by many of its opponents, it was over-engineered, used expensive and labour intensive materials and production methods, and was time-consuming to produce. 1,347 were built between August 1942 and August 1944.

Germany's Panzer IV E type, often referred to as the "Tiger" I tank. It was developed because the German armored forces unexpectedly encountered stubborn resistance from Soviet tanks within a few months of attacking the Soviet Union, especially the T-34 and KV-1. The Tiger I was the first tank to be equipped with an 88mm gun. The anti-aircraft gun version of the gun has demonstrated excellent anti-aircraft and anti-armor capabilities. During the war, the "Tiger" I appeared in almost all German frontline battles. It is usually deployed in independent heavy tank groups. "Tiger" I has produced a strong psychological deterrent to many opponents. Its design is very complex, using many expensive materials and production processes, and its production requires a lot of time. Therefore, between August 1942 and August 1944, only 1,347 were built.
