A Rare James Edwards "American Birds" Oval Platter.

The piece is c1880s, has a rope patterned edge.

Light Blue on white. 11.25" x 9" x 1"

A bird that looks like a magpie is on a branch, pecking an egg.

This platter is old and has wear marks to the surface

 commensurate with plenty of use.
