Bess Bruce Cleaveland (1876-1966) illustrated books, teacher's magazines, and other commercial art projects. She worked in ink and watercolor. Children and animals were her favorite subjects. Little Folks Monthly (1897-1926), a magazine for children, featured the work of this artist and illustrator, and these prints appear to be reprints from that magazine.
