W. Armor was a prominent artist from Western Pennsylvania
More of his works can be seen from a past exhibit at The Frick

This and another Armor watercolor were acquired from a person who was on the board of directors for The Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.
Both paintings, at one time, hung in either The Carnegie or The Frick, I'm not 100% certain which museum.

The watercolor has been preserved excellently, though the frame, matting and glass/plexi is showing it's age.
I've had them for 10 years so they must have been framed like this for at least 30 years, if I had to guess, even longer perhaps.
The museum archivist erroneously named the artist as "Armour" on the sticker.

Overall very nice pieces.
