Liverpool FC pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in UEFA Champions League history to win their 5th European Cup against AC Milan in an extraordinary final in Istanbul.
The Reds found themselves 3-0 at half-time and looked to be out of the game completely. However a determined Steven Gerrard put in a Captain's performance to inspire his side to a remarkable second-half comeback. An incredible seven minute spell saw Liverpool FC pull the game back level and take the game to Extra-Time. In a dramatic penalty shootout, Jerzy Dudek was to be the Hero - saving penalties from Pirlo and Shevchenko to seal an unbelievable victory. The miracle in Istanbul was complete.
