MCM ALUMINUM FREEZER INNER TUBE CRYSTAL PITCHER IN ABSOLUTELY PERFECT CONDITION. West Virginia Glass Co. probably made this piece during the 1960's, making it about 60 years old. This glass crystal footed pitcher comes from a bye-gone era when American manufacturing was an "art", as can be seen from the gorgeously Hand Blown and Hand Applied Handle as can be seen in the photographs. It is absolutely gorgeous and in absolutely perfect condition, as if it were purchased yesterday. I only wish I had more because it is so beautiful. It actually measures 12 inches high, is 6 3/8 inches at its widest width, and stands on a crystal round base that is about 4 1/8 inches in diameter. It has an Aluminum Tube that is also in perfect condition and has a 2 Inch diameter and is 10 Inches long and is marked "FREEZER TUBE Pat. Pend." and below it "WATER LINE" Underlined. All of the chrome attachments are also in perfect condition, but may need a little cleaning, which I will leave up to its new owner. It was purchased from an old estate sale on Long Island. Although it was pre-owned, it does not have a single scratch anywhere, as can be seen in the photographs. I found it sitting inside a closed dining room cabinet where it seemed to have sat there for many years and was never used, and this is probably the reason why there are no scratches on the pitcher, and absolutely none on the bottom where they would be expected to be found. It even has attached to it two paper/foil labels with the West Virginia Glass Co. Logo, which proves it was never used because the paper/foil label would have already been washed away. I asked the people running the estate sale how this pitcher could be so "perfect", even the chrome spout is perfect with no damage at all. They told me that their parents received this as a wedding present from their very best friends, and so they never wanted to use it, and so they kept it inside that closed dining room cabinet. I have been collecting unusual vintage objects for many years, and always try to describe the items as best as I can. I don't see any chips, fleabites, cracks, scratches, stains, cloudiness, or repairs anywhere on the pitcher. It comes from a smoke-free home. I only accept PayPal, and never charge extra for packaging and handling. Shipping and Insurance by USPS Rate Priority Mail costs $18.85. Payment is expected within 3 days, after which I will immediately ship out the pitcher as soon as payment is verified by eBay. Buyer may be subject to sales tax which is collected by eBay, and not given to me at all. If payment is not received within 5 days, the pitcher will be relisted. Returns will be arranged only if I have shipped the wrong item, or if I have misrepresented the item or its condition. If you need more pictures or further details, please feel free to contact me.
