This is the insignia of the US Army Infantry. Mark, design, construction and use of sterling date this to 1942-48 - early 40s

Very good vintage condition: uniform age wear to the vermeil (gold wash).  All the stones are present.  The pin may use a cleaning as it has darkened with age.

It is 1" tall and 1.75" wide
