The item up for bids is a vintage mid-century modern beehive vase from Arabia of Finland. It was designed by Arabia’s first artistic director Kurt Ekholm (1907-1975) and features a banded barrel form with a hand painted design of floating green leaf forms and yellow bands on a cream background. The glossy faience glaze is over a red clay body. It is marked on the base with an impressed mark that reads Arabia, Made in Finland, and ARA in an oval. It’s a fine example of Scandinavian pottery, have some fun and bid!

Its about 4” tall (10 cm) by 3-1/2” in diameter (9cm).

Condition:
The condition is good vintage. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. The surface is glossy and clean inside and out. The colors are lovely. It is a beautiful example that’s ready for use or display. The pictures are the best indicator as to condition, please use the zoom feature and check them out.
