This player has surprisingly good bass and volume for a moderate sized clock radio. I used it as PC speakers via the AUX-in port as well as to play my old iPod library.  It currently has the iPod nano insert installed, but I do have the other inserts if you need them ... honestly, you don't.  The plug will hold up the iPod.
