Here we have a very special Scottish Singer 15k hand crank sewing machine, in amazing condition with all of its original superb ROYAL AIR FORCE decals and professionally serviced by Sussex Sewing Machines. It is stitch perfect and stunning.

The RAF is the worlds oldest independent air force, the first in the world not to be under the control of the army or the navy.

RAF decals were made for machines between 1930 and 1940. Interestingly, this machine was made in 1950.

During the 1930’s the Singer factory in Scotland was very much preoccupied with making munitions to supply the armed forces and help with the war effort so they had plenty of decals left over, instead of throwing them out, these were then used on some machines made later on and even into the fifties. This machine being 1950 means that it is very possibly amongst the last machines to receive the original famous RAF decals making it something really quite special.

This Singer 15k from 1950 is the last of the great classic ‘old world’ Singer sewing machines. A workhorse with fantastic capability. And in such fantastic condition!

The machine comes with plenty of extras including beautiful case with key, instruction book, attachments, thread, spare needles and lots more, see pictures. A few of the usual tiny pin marks but in FANTASTIC CONDITION. Stunning machine - and a HAND CRANK! Made in the Kilbowie factory in Clydebank, Scotland. 

The model 15 was the longest manufactured machine in history, it was just about perfect. The 15 would sew anything from silk to canvas without complaining.
