The original 1877 edition was provided with color plates. This reprint edition contains only b&w plates along with the same vignette illustrations. The reprint also eliminated the original appendix, which brought the total pages of that original up to 243.


The 4th through the 14th degrees of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite are called the Ineffable Degrees.
