ANTIQUE ABG MIGNONETTE Alt, Beck, & Gottschalk Glass o/c Eyes
 8" ALL BISQUE DOLL

A beautiful antique all bisque doll that was made in Germany by Alt, Beck, & Gottschalck, circa 1900.  This lovely doll measures approximately 8" tall and has a dark blonde or very light brown wig (looks like human hair and probably is not original because, when I pried the wig up to stuff her head, I saw that the pate' is newer), brown glass open & close eyes, an open mouth with molded teeth and is string jointed at the shoulders & hips.  She has painted black, one strap, shoes with white painted socks trimmed in blue.  Incised on the back of her head, on the inside of her arms, and the inside of her legs is " 83 (over) 150 " (see photo) the back of her head also has the number "13" underneath all.  She is wearing a vintage, but not antique, dress with snaps in the back.  She does not wear any underwear. This incredible doll is in This doll is in very good condition with no large chips or cracks to the bisque.  The only chip I see is on the back edge of her left leg (I'm not so sure it is a chip...it could be a manufacturing defect, see photo).  She does have a manufacturing flaw on the right side of her nose (a line, see photo) but it does not take away from the beauty of this doll. Her stringing is loosely strung (probably stretched out).  Everything is fine with only the normal minor scruffs to the paint and manufacturing flaws.  Her brown eyes open and close nicely...her head will be stuffed for safety in shipping (her wig will have to be glued back down in the back because I had to pry it up to stuff it).  This is a wonderful Alt, Beck, & Gottschalck doll with the prettiest, almost perfect, face.  She displays beautifully and will compliment any collection!  She is very special! Being offered at a low starting bid and with no reserve.
