19th Century Novelty Clock Timepiece Hand Lamp Light Swiss Illuminated Candle.

Originally in my late fathers collection.

Milk glass dial behind thick bullseye glass.
Swiss 32 hour movement, working order.
Folding handles to the sides and a clip to the rear. Plated brass lamp case with position for candle to illuminate the movement. Double fluted chimney allows the heat/fumes to exhaust out of the top. The candle holder diameter is about 1 3/4 inch diameter. It looks lovely when illuminated.

The registered design number marked on this item was registered by Samuel Robotham of Birmingham in the year 1866. The Swiss patent number on this item was registered in 1892.

Approximately 6 3/4 inches (170mm) high from base to top of chimney. Chapter ring approximately 2 3/4 inches (70mm) in diameter.

It has been in storage for many years so is a little dusty. In working order
