Antique Victorian White Petticoat 3 Layers Lovely!

Very full because of all the layers.

Waist measures approx. 28” around.

Length from top to bottom- approx.. 32”

Mother of pearl small buttons and 1 hook for closure.

Note:  Looks like a 4^th layer was cut off.  May have had past alterations.

This has 3 bottom ruffle layers.

Overall in great antique condition – One ½” stain found that is on reverse side of 2^nd ruffle layer so doesn’t really show that much.   At this same area, there is a 4” seam that needs to be sewed.

The 12” top part is fine cotton - several small wear areas- not bad.

1^st – top layer ruffles – 20” – very fine cotton-silky batiste- pintucks, 3 insert laces- 3 very small wear spots-2 teensy lace spots. 2 very small areas of lace

postage. wear-separation.

 2^nd layer – 20” wide. – looks perfect --top part – fine cotton  - ruffle part – fine batiste – very – fine embroidered insert lace.  Bottom part – pointed embroidered – very fine.

3^rd layer – 11” wide – top part -very fine cotton – bottom part very fine batiste – lace bottom- looks perfect – except this is where the dark spot mentioned above is and needs seam closure.
