I am looking to find a new home for my enhanced hybrid early production MiniMoog from 1972.

HISTORY

I am the 2nd owner and bought it in 1985 from Octaphonics Studio who liked to restore these, since at that time, a lot of these units were toured and some did not survive as well as others.
This MiniMoog is made up of the best parts of 3 different minimoogs all from 1972.
- The faceplate and keyboard coming from one.
- The circuit boards from another
- the metal housing from the 3rd.
This was the state of the mini as I purchased it In 1985.
As such there is no actual SR# and has been obscured. But the serial numbers on the circuit boards are ,1643,
1650 and 1713. So this seems to be a fairly low numbered time frame.

- 1986 I brought it to SE Electronics and had it midi’d with an internal Kenton Midi converter. This conversion makes use of the CV inputs and as such overrides any external use of those inputs. The midi switch (which allows you to use either the Mini's keyboard or your midi keyboard) was supposed to be on the front panel, (notice the hole in the pics)  but due to intricate wiring it was decided to place it on the back panel.

- Afterwards I removed the cabinet and Keyboard and used it as a midi module in my smoke free recording studio for the next 20 years.
- In 2006 I sought to restore it and purchased a new cabinet from Analogics in a beautiful reddish Mahogany. I also replaced the bushings on the keyboard which fixes that familiar clacking sound.

It is in good working order but it is also over 50 years old.

I made a quick 1 min video here: https://youtu.be/ut-x-nEdL-Q
All the knobs and switches are original and look wonderful.

It does sound beautiful and the Midi offers more advantages than the unit would normally provide.

The Midi cards which sit completely inside the unit can extend the range and controllers can be assigned to control the filter and volume in addition to the usual pitch and modulation.
These vintage machines are getting harder to find and even less that have been fitted with Midi.

Homemade alterations

-The bottom panel was replaced with a more heavy duty one (see pic)
-The 'Kick Stand' is homemade. (see pic)
