I'm not sure of the age of this tray, nor what it's made of, but it is very light. Since the decoration is so ornate and quite raised, I'm guessing this might be a tray kept on a lady's dressing table. It could be silver plated, but there's no hallmarks that I can see, and it doesn't have the patina of nickel showing through.

It is approximately 30cm X 20cm in size.
