Sage Graphite III RPL 996-4 / 9' 6" 4pc fly rod custom built fly rod in great condition. Rod has been used very sparingly on one Alaskan steelhead trip. The rod has a couple of very superficial small scratches from normal use. I built this rod when I worked at a custom rod shop in the 90's. I used flor plus cork, Fuji SIC stripper guides, Struble black anodized saltwater reel seat, and perfection snake guides slightly oversized to help prevent ice buildup and shoot line more readily. Cork has been sealed to prevent fish slime/dirt funk. Rod comes with a sage rod sock but no tube. I do have my name inscribed on the rod in a discreet manner. This is a great rod for oversize steelhead, silver salmon, king salmon, and would have many saltwater applications as well. The Sage RPL series of rods was and still is one of my favorites in the long list of Sage rod models. Nice classic custom rod at a good price. Clearing out some rods that haven't been used enough and need a new home.
