I am selling this vintage and collectable used Traveller’s Cheque from The Commercial Bank of Australia Limited.

Issued in South Australia on 9th September 1962 for £10 Australian Currency, this traveller’s cheque in green and purple tones has a serial number of A10555. On the front of the cheque there is “PAID 12∙9∙65” spelt out in perforations as well as a purple stamp which is a bit hard to read. In the top left corner, the payee has endorsed the cheque at the time of purchase, and it has Pay To: Motel Park Royal. On the back is another purple “Motel Park Royal” stamp. There is also an initialed 3d stamp duty stamp on the back as well as an embossed and raised 3d imprint on the left side. It measures 19cms W x 9cms H.

This traveller’s cheque is in very good condition considering it is used and 62 years old. Unfortunately, there are 2 minute tears along the top left; the left side where the perforations are there are signs of usage, and it also has age discolouration along with ink marks. The photos form part of the item’s description so please view them carefully. It has been stored and protected behind plastic for many years; this was the condition I received the item in from previous owner.

I am happy to respond to any questions you may have and I will combine postage if you contact me previous to payment so final invoice can reflect adjusted postage costs.
