    Artist information: actually Paul Lorenz Otto Heinrich Herrmann also called Henri Héran, German painter and graphic artist (1864 Munich to 1940 Berlin), grew up in the circle of his uncle Paul Heyse, intended to study architecture, secretly took painting lessons and had a falling out with Heyse, later a student at the painting school of Max Ebersberger and student of Ferdinand Barth for two years, briefly enrolled at the Munich Academy in 1883, later became a panoramic painter and restorer of frescoes in Bavaria and Swabia, then spent a few years in New York and Chicago (world exhibition in 1893), moved to Paris in 1895 and accepted the Artist name “Henri Héran”, frequented here in the circle of friends around Edvard Munch, Strindberg and Oscar Wilde, moved to Berlin in 1906, created here, among other things. Ceiling paintings for the hotels Adlon and Eden, worked for the magazines “Pan” and “Le Centaure”, received various honors, among others. the Golden State Medal Berlin and in 1914 the Saxon State Medal, as well as the Grand Prize of Honor of the City of Leipzig, member. in the Association of Berlin Artists, the Free Association of Graphic Artists in Berlin and the Munich Secession,In 1940 he became an honorary member of the Association of Painters, Sculptors, Architects and Art Fellows since 1814He was appointed professor on May 1, 1941.On February 5, 1944, he was awarded the Goethe Medal for Art and Science on the occasion of his 80th birthday
