For auction we have this beautiful antique Kashmiri tray. The tray dates from the late 1800's or perhaps early 1900's. The circular tray is made from copper which has been beautifully hand chiselled and chased and completed with open-work designs
In the centre of the tray there is beautiful floral embossed floral motif which has been chiselled and chased with floral patterns along with open-work detailing.
Similar designs have been worked around this central focal point. The technique of completing these types of Kashmiri trays are very technical and require great skill. The maker's ability to execute the hand chiselled designs with such precision must be applauded.
The tray has been completed with a turned edge around the rim which has also be adorned with beautiful foliage all around.
A small hook has been welded to the back of the tray to allow it to be hung on a wall if you wish. You can of course ignore it or remove it very easily if you wish to do so.
The tray is a beautiful addition to any collection and is sure to impress anyone who sees it.

The diameter of the tray is 26.8cm = 10.6 inches.
Condition
The tray is in very good condition overall.
