Signature Shipping with Insurance by USPS Signature Mail. Up for auction is a gorgeous 10 Inch Hand Painted and Hand Molded Relief bulbous shaped Lladro "Blue Chinese Dragon" Vase. The Vase is bulbous shaped and measures 10 Inches high, has a trumpet-wide shaped top opening of 4 1/4 Inches, and is measuring 6 3/8 Inches at its widest, sits on a round base measuring 3 1/2 Inches wide, and weighs about 2 pounds. The bottom is stamped with the official dark blue Lladro Signature and official emblem and the "HAND MADE IN SPAIN" underneath in cobalt blue, as can be seen in the photographs. The vase portrays a raised in relief Chinese Dragon hand painted in shades of soft blues and grays and browns with huge white fangs in its wide open mouth, and huge claws on its four legs. The vase also has 4 raised relief clouds hand painted in blue drifting both above and below the dragon. This Chinoiserie Styled Vase was sculptured by Julio Fernandez. I'm told that this was part of the Lladro Historical Collection and was discontinued around 1981. Although this was purchased from an old estate sale on Long Island and was pre-owned, I found it sitting on a shelf inside a closed living room cabinet, where it must have sat for years because it is absolutely perfect condition. I have been collecting unusual vintage objects for many years and always try to describe the items as best as I can. Most of the items are vintage, and I will described any defects as best as I can. There are absolutely no scratches, chips, cracks, stains, crazing, or repairs that I can see anywhere on the vase, and not even any scratches to the bottom of its porcelain base. I only accept PayPal, and never charge extra for packing or handling.
