62MAS style Automatic re-imagined Mod Watch.

For sale is this beautiful automatic 'Mod' watch, my personal interpretation of the iconic Seiko 62MAS, their first dive watch from 1965 and as such is vintage inspired.

A mod watch is a term used to describe a watch that has been modified partially or in greater depth, or also in reference, within the watch community, to a build from scratch using compatible parts, as is the case here.

This watch is unworn and has been built, wound and undergone several days of continuous running to ensure all works as it should. My watch builds use high quality parts.

The watch specifications are as follows:-.

Case

-40mm wide, 316L stainless steel. Polished and brushed.

-Lug to Lug. 48.5mm

-Lug width. 20mm

-Thickness. 14mm

-Screw down crown.

-Solid Caseback with etched wave design.

Crystal.

-Vintage style flat 'Top Hat' domed Sapphire crystal with clear AR coating from Crystal Times

Movement.

-Seiko NH35. 24 jewels Automatic with hacking and hand-winding. Regulated in 6 positions and reading -4sec/per/day in the glass up position. (see photo)

Dial.

-Aftermarket 62MAS/SLA017 style, with powerful lumed Indicies.

Hand Set.

-Aftermarket SLA017

Bezel and Bezel Insert.

-120 click unidirectional bezel

- Ceramic 62MAS style bezel insert

Chapter Ring

-Polished silver.

Strap

-Vintage rubber Tropic strap.

The case has a manufacturers stated water resistance of 20atm. This is untested, but the watch is tested, by me, to 5atm and has Caseback, Crown and Bezel gaskets in place.

The watch will come in a generic watch box with stud fastener, as seen in the photos. I use Royal Mail ‘special’ delivery next day tracked, and I will pay the extra, on top of the listed postage, to use this method.

This is a hobby for me and not a business. I am a watch enthusiast, collector and 'modder' of several of my own watches, leading me to also build watches for myself from OEM and aftermarket parts. I have also built many watches for friends and family, working with them to create unique 'one-off' custom builds. I have now sold many here on eBay. Some of the feedback below.
