The aperture blades are oil and corrosion free, and their action and control are snappy. The focusing is smooth. The lens comes with two Nikon caps. It is compatible with all Nikon SLRs. However, it won't autofocus on D40, D40x, D60, D3000, D3100, D3200, D3300, D3400, D3500, D5000, D5100, D5200, D5300, D5400, D5500 and D5600, and won’t meter on pre-1977 bodies.
