Vintage sterling silver solid bangle with a cut out kells Celtic knot design with pretty edge detail.
The design is called Cridhe, which means heart, and features a large round faceted smoky quartz stone.
It measures approx 190 mm, about 7 1/2" around the outside. I've calculated the internal measurements, which is approx 168 mm, about 6 5/8". It is supposed to be a snug fit, but probably best for a wrist that measures less that about 6 1/4" or 6 3/8".
At the widest point the width is 17 mm, 5/8" and the stone is about 17mm diameter.
Weighs 30 grams.
The fastening is very interesting, a wee bit of a futer at first, but very secure once fastened, with a safety chain.
Fully hallmarked for sterling silver, assayed in Edinburgh in in 1978, maker's mark CA.
Very good vintage used condition, and has kept its shape very well indeed.
